Magic Coin: A Scammer's New Best Friend? (Animal Jam Classic)

Animal Jam: Item Eyeballing #2 (Magic Coin)
Welcome to Item Eyeballing! Here I will go into details about the past,
present and future for existing Animal Jam items.

Today I want to take a look at an item that's quickly being used to scam innocent and unknowing jammers. It's new, being released just this March, 2021.

The magic coin! This item was just first introduced in the currently ongoing April Fool's party. It can be bought for 563 gems.

Some people don't seem to know that this item is actually store bought, or from the party. There's been stories of jammers buying these for 20 diamonds and even people getting scammed with them, as some players have been claiming they're "unreleased" or "hacked/glitched" items.

But as you know now if you read what I just said above: They are not glitched. They are not hacked. They are not unreleased. They are store bought and as it stands, they are currently actually very worthless.

Animal Jam RC has a YouTube?!

A step away from my usual content but yes, Animal Jam RC/Animal Jam Rarity Check/AJRC has a YouTube now! I plan to post AJMV's and videos related to item rarity checks here soon.

Is YouTube worth it? Maybe not, AJYT is dying out and dying out fast. It's a bit sad but you'll notice how AJMV's went from having over 1 million views to less than 100k most the time in recent years. But I used to love AJYT. I used to love AJMV's and I always wanted to make my own when I was a little dreamy eyed kid watching them back in the day. Better now than never, right? And because I love that old nostalgic AJ feel, I hope my videos will attract people to it because of that. I think I will mostly use old songs I feel nostalgic for to bring back those old 2012-2014 memories.
Not to mention I won't just post my own AJMV's, I hope the item checks I want to post will interest some people too.

Here's the channel.

Til next time.

Is AJHQ hurting or helping by re-selling rares? (Animal Jam Classic)

Today I would like to go off this blog's main topic.
A question I wonder a lot is, is AJHQ helping players when
they re-release items held at a high value?

The original tan top hat look.
We've seen it happen before. The top hats used to be rare and in high demand among players, they were released in 2010 on June 15th, and then left soon after the beta period ended. The top hats did not see another re-release until 2013, but after that, they were once again gone from stores and their demand continued to rise. The most valuable top hat color was debated among traders, but it was agreed by many that tan was the rarest color, though solid black was typically in higher demand.

Animal Jam (Classic) Rarity Check #2 : Golden Throne?

Animal Jam Rarity Check #2 : Golden Throne?
What is the golden throne worth?
Welcome to Animal Jam Rarity Check, or AJRC! AJRC wants to help jammers
understand their items more, while giving my own insight on whether or not I think an
item's rarity is fair.

Today I want to take a look at an older item, the golden throne.
Recently, I was shopping at some dens and saw someone selling this beauty for dirt cheap, so I went ahead and bought it, because this item is rather old and hasn't been sold since it left stores. It was first for sale September 7th, 2012, and was being sold at Epic Wonders for 2,000 gems. Though I do not know when it left, my estimate is probably around 2013-2014.

The golden throne. Only one variant.

Animal Jam (Classic): Item Eyeballing #1 (Gloves)

Animal Jam: Item Eyeballing #1 (Gloves)
Welcome to Item Eyeballing! Here I will go into details about the past,
present and future for existing Animal Jam items.

Today I want to take a look at one of Animal Jam's many clothing items: gloves.

A lovely glove collection.

Animal Jam (Classic) Rarity Check #1 : Giant Plushies?

Animal Jam Rarity Check #1 : Giant Plushies?
Welcome to Animal Jam Rarity Check, or AJRC! AJRC wants to help jammers understand their items more, while giving my own insight on whether or not I think an item's rarity is fair.

Today I want to take a look at a few selection of den items:
the Conservation Museum giant plushies.
If you aren't familiar, they were released a long time ago... Around in 2011, they were sold at the Conservation Museum, and then they left shops in 2013. As far as I know, they are probably obtainable through the Forgotten Desert, but otherwise they are practically unobtainable, or difficult to get, at least.

The whole set includes the Giant Tiger Plushie, Giant Bunny Plushie, Giant Panda Plushie, Giant Wolf Plushie, Giant Monkey Plushie, Giant Koala Plushie, Giant Seal Plushie, Giant Elephant Plushie, Giant Rhino Plushie, Giant Crocodile Plushie, Giant Horse Plushie, Giant Penguin Plushie, Giant Giraffe Plushie, Giant Fox Plushie, and Giant Raccoon Plushie.
