Magic Coin: A Scammer's New Best Friend? (Animal Jam Classic)

Animal Jam: Item Eyeballing #2 (Magic Coin)
Welcome to Item Eyeballing! Here I will go into details about the past,
present and future for existing Animal Jam items.

Today I want to take a look at an item that's quickly being used to scam innocent and unknowing jammers. It's new, being released just this March, 2021.

The magic coin! This item was just first introduced in the currently ongoing April Fool's party. It can be bought for 563 gems.

Some people don't seem to know that this item is actually store bought, or from the party. There's been stories of jammers buying these for 20 diamonds and even people getting scammed with them, as some players have been claiming they're "unreleased" or "hacked/glitched" items.

But as you know now if you read what I just said above: They are not glitched. They are not hacked. They are not unreleased. They are store bought and as it stands, they are currently actually very worthless.

What makes this coin something people have decided to scam with? Well, it DOES look like it could be an unreleased item. It has a spiral texture and is even animated, the spiral swirls around and it floats and spins around. And I imagine not many are interested in the new April Fool's party, so it would be easy to pass this off as another priceless item (Remember the animal coin collection? People have likely been passing it off as something like that).

So, what are the futures of these coins?
I think they are going to increase in value later. Like, a lot honestly, just look at it. For now they are pretty worthless, but if they aren't released next year, I think their rarity will steadily increase until they become very valuable. I'm thinking maybe they won't be re-released. There has been a few items that stopped being sold, like the Polka Dot Tuxedo Jacket. But then again, most items do return each year. So only time will tell.

But for now, my advice would be to go to the party and buy some of these, as many as these as you feel like, if you haven't already. A lot of people have high hopes, including me, that this item will be more valuable in the future. I think it definitely has the potential, we just need to see what AJHQ does next year.

Don't get scammed, jammers.
Til next time!
